Other ways to say project in German

While Projekt is the most common word for project in German, you might hear Vorhaben in formal contexts or Aktion for quick or charitable projects. Still, Projekt is by far the standard.

Word variations and tidbits

Look out for Gruppenprojekt (group project), Schulprojekt (school project), Bauprojekt (construction project), Kunstprojekt (art project), and Projektarbeit (project-based work). Verbs include ein Projekt starten, durchführen, or abschließen.
