We want you to feel confident when learning with us. These Terms and Conditions explain how our courses and lessons work, what you can expect from us, and what we ask from you as a customer. We’ve kept them clear and user-friendly, while still covering the necessary legal points.
1. Scope
These Terms apply to all purchases made on deutschable.com, including self-study video courses and live private lessons. By using our website or purchasing our products, you accept these terms.
2. Digital Products (Self-Study Courses)
2.1 Access
When you purchase a self-study course, you receive immediate access to the content.
2.2 Refund Guarantee
We offer a 30-day money-back guarantee on your first purchase. If you’re not satisfied, simply contact us within 30 days of your first purchase and we will issue a refund. Access will end once the refund is processed. Please note that for recurring subscriptions, the 30-day guarantee applies only to your first payment, not to every renewal.
2.3 Abuse of Refund Policy
Our refund policy is designed to be fair. However, if we notice repeated refund requests from the same person (or clear attempts to repurchase and refund again), we reserve the right to refuse future sales. We will always communicate with you before making such a decision.
2.4 Usage
Accounts should be used by the purchaser only. Excessive or suspicious login activity (for example automated access or account sharing) may lead to suspension, but we will always contact you to clarify before taking action.
3. Private Lessons
3.1 Get-to-Know Session
A discounted first session is available for new students. Because we reserve a teacher’s time for you, this session is non-refundable.
3.2 Bundles
Lessons are sold in bundles (e.g. 5 or 10 lessons). Each lesson unit is 45 minutes. Fractions of units are not possible.
3.3 Refunds for Bundles
If you request a refund for unused lessons, the refund is calculated on the unused portion minus an administrative fee of €100. If the value of the remaining lessons is less than €100, no refund will be issued.
3.4 Validity
Lesson bundles are valid for 18 months from purchase. After this period, any unused lessons expire and are non-refundable.
3.5 Teacher Cancellations
If your teacher cancels, no fees apply and lessons will be rescheduled.
3.6 Student Cancellations
Please give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule. Occasional cancellations are no problem, but repeated last-minute cancellations may lead to fees or refusal of further lessons. We will always discuss this with you first.
3.7 Certificates & Proof of Attendance
On request, we can issue certificates for completed lessons. To do this, we keep simple records (such as lesson logs) for up to three years. These are only for verification and will never be shared with third parties.
4. Prices and VAT
All prices are listed in euros (€)or US dollars ($). Where applicable, VAT is already included in the price.
5. Payment
Payment is handled through secure third-party providers. Your order is only complete once payment is successfully received.
6. Liability
Our courses and lessons are designed with care, but learning results depend on your own effort and participation. We cannot guarantee specific learning outcomes. We also cannot be held responsible for technical issues on your side (e.g. internet connection, devices).
7. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by the laws of Germany. The place of jurisdiction is Berlin.
8. Modifications
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make changes that affect your rights as a customer, we will notify you by email.
